The end of the year is fast approaching!

Blog Post: Hello All!

I hope that my message finds you and yours happy and well and enjoying this wonderful Spring weather!  We are experiencing such sunny days and temps that are so easy to sleep in.  I’m enjoying seeing Mother Nature doing her thing – the flowers are blooming, the birds are tweeting and the sun is shining.  Perfect!  My daily walk takes me along the coast and the ocean water is so clear and inviting.  I do like the colder months, but there is something to be said about the lead-up to Summer which I’m so looking forward to.

We start rehearsals for the 2017 season of VELVET in a month or so, which equals the start of becoming match fit.  I’ve missed doing VELVET so much and I’m looking forward to catching up with the cast and sharing some of what’s been going on and hearing what they have all been up to (as well as sharing some laughs).  Our Director, Craig, is so cool to work with and our Musical Director, Joey, has the best sense of humour ever!  It’s going to be much work, though to be honest, I’m looking forward to the routine of it all, being the workaholic that I am.  We’ve got a huge year ahead. I and the rest of the team look forward to seeing y’all at the show in 2017…

I mean ouch – can you believe it’s almost time to think of shopping for Christmas gifts?  This year has gone so quickly!  Being home for a while I’ve had a lot of time to catch up with friends, break bread with them and share lots of laughs.  This is what life is all about – sharing times that become precious memories.

Musically, I’ve re-visited Sting’s Fields of Gold album … wow, what a grand musician!!!  I get truly inspired listening to him sing and play bass.  Not to mention, he’s extremely easy to look at (in my humble opinion).  Always has been, and always will be, one of my favourite musicians!

Ok, that’s me for now.  Make sure you get out there and enjoy some of this stunning warm weather.  Hug someone that you like and kiss someone that you love.  Share a laugh with someone who understands and appreciates your sense of humour – laughter is the best medicine!  Stay in bed for a day just because you can and find somebody to share some delicious chocolate with – it will make it taste even better.

Sending you all much love.

    Hello wonderful girl …
Lol when I was young I used to wear fresh flowers in my hair, just like you, and by lunch time my coworkers would say they were wilted!! Lol then I would wear a white scarf with a twisted coloured scarf, mine was blue, on top, just like you!! Lol … I married young and would see your shows with my ex each year, I adore u so. My ex left out of the blue in late 2012. I was devastated after a 35 year relationship and eventually ended up in hospital as I couldn’t cope with my new reality. I was always, as mums are, the strength of the family and my family will never be the same as my kids and extended family don’t recognise the different Julie and mum that I have become.
BUT last week my aunt who is 9 years younger than me, lol asked did I want to go see amarcia Hines disco show? I hadn’t seen u live four for four years and couldn’t believe you were in Sydney. I was thrilled and drove to Liverpool singing your songs all the way. You won’t remember me but I was the blonde with the gold top going crazy with happiness. Thank you for touching my hand twice, once in the audience and once while you were on stage, you made me realise I can still find happiness and feel the emotions And pure joy that listening to and seeing you and Barbara Streisand make me feel.
Lol I hope this email is understandable Marcia, lol and thank you once again for sharing your talent and yourself with me and your other fans, my whole life.
    Julie X
