I know that it’s been ages since I sat my butt down and wrote a message so here goes. Firstly I hope that you and your families and all those you love are well and happy. And to those of you who are dealing with whatever, my love goes out to you and yours too.

A few months ago I got a message through my office from a cousin that I really knew very little about, he was here in Australia with his wife and he decided to contact me. We met up for dinner and talked about our family, my mother was his great grandmother’s sister. As soon as I laid eyes on him I knew he was blood, he reminded me so much of my mother’s side of our family. And not only that he is a fine upstanding human being. He and his wife loved Australia and said that the Australian landscape and the attitude of Australians in general reminded them a lot of Canada. Christopher and I usually have an idea where we might like to visit for our holidays but his year was like pulling teeth for some reason – then bam it hit us, let’s go up to Canada and visit our relatives, and that’s just what we did. I’ve always loved Canada having been there a few times before and this time was no exception. It was even better having a family to laugh and cry with, was very healing, and has warmed my heart so much more than words could ever say. From there we went to NYC and saw a bit of theatre, and we just loved soaking up the vibe that only New York can deliver, shopped a bit as you do!! Ate at a fantastic soul food restaurant in Harlem called “Sylvias”, check it out if you ever get the chance, great food and beautiful folks who run it.

Once we got back to Sydney I had two days to deal with my jet lag, then I flew to Melbourne to do a live gig at the Melbourne Zoo with the RocKwiz family. You guys are da bomb, it’s always a pleasure to work with you!!!!

Now that was a buzz…… it’s all wonderful and all to go away but there’s nothing better than being on stage where I belong and doing what I truly love doing ..singing… it’s good to be home… cya when… much love……
