Looking forward to getting back to Hobart!

Blog post: Hello all,

As I write this I am looking out at the rain, savouring my bed and enjoying just being in the space I call home!

We depart for Hobart on Wednesday for a whole month.  Back in the day I lived in Hobart and Launceston whilst we were doing “Hair”, and not long ago I went back to Tassie for a holiday.  It’s such a great place filled with beautiful scenery and some of the finest restaurants and fishing spots in Australia.  I know because I checked out as many as we could during our stay!

It’s going to be much colder than the other places we’ve been so far which I don’t mind at all.  I hope that we’ll be able to get some tennis in and a wee bit of sightseeing as well.  From what I’ve been told Hobart is almost as excited to us as we are about coming down to do VELVET in the Spiegeltent!  It’s gonna be fantastic to share some of what I know about Tassie with the cast members and learn a little bit more myself about Hobart.  I’ve already checked out nail salons, lash extensions and all the things that we girls will be needing to keep up our beauty routines – LOL.  There’s a lot of work that goes into being a girl, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I hope that your weekend was good to ya and you laughed with some friends and hugged someone just because.

By the way, I have a couple of questions that I’d appreciate y’all to answer for me – What does the word ‘romantic’ mean to you?  And are men as romantic as woman?  Or, do women have a different interpretation to the word?  All I’m sayin’ is I look forward to what y’all have to share!

Easter is just around the corner which means Chocolate is almost gonna be more than plentiful.  So stock up y’all!

In the meantime, take good care of yourself and all those you love and care for.

Sending much love as always. Peace. Marcia

Goodnight,Goodnight .Parting is such sweet sorrow. That I shall say goodnight till it be tomorrow.
For never was a story of more woe than this than Juliet and her Romeo.
Do not swear by the moon, for she changes constantly..

Romantic to me means having a partner (not that I have one at the moment) who wants to be a friend. Someone who is happy to spend time talking, laughing and listening and who likes to spend time just being together.

Yes if you find the right Man, he truly cares about what makes you happy, romance is important, after almost 42 years my Man is still romantic, flowers on Valentine’s Day , Mother’s Day, birthdays etc. Willing to watch ‘girly movies sometimes:) he’s good with the grandkids and never tells a soul my bad points that is romantic ❤️ Of I love Hobart

Romantic means to me being able to look at someone and you know by their eyes that you are loved beyond compare. I don’t think men are as romantic as women because it’s just part of a woman’s soul to be romantic. When a woman gives birth she gives love unconditionally. Men are somewhat romantic because they think they have to be. It is sad..but I think they were given the raw deal when it comes to being emotional.

Romantic means to me that my husband wants to spend time with me-not just because it’s our wedding anniversary or Valentines Day- or even my birthday- but he wants to spend time with me when I have dirty hair bc I’ve been busy with our youngest son who has cerebral palsy and is autistic and I haven’t had a chance to wash it…..or….bc he knows I can no longer walk very far-after getting very sick when pregnant with our youngest son- he will drive a bit further so I don’t have to try and walk as far- bc the pain is unbearable. It really IS the little things….on any not particularly special day of the year- that means the most to me. I think Men and Women really DO SEE romance differently. I think some men tend to mistake the word Romance for sex…..and it’s so much more than that….
